About the Role
As Quantitative Research Analyst you will be conducting research on a vast array of real-world data sets, with support and guidance from senior researchers, to implement data analysis, data mining and provide reports. You will continuously improve on mathematical/statistical models and help prepare algorithms that will be translated into code.
We expect you to be versatile, flexible and very creative to think of new innovative solutions. You will also have the opportunity to pursue some of your own ideas and implement them right into our production systems. This role is an entry position for a future quantitative researcher and can initially be part time for students or full time for graduates.
Your Skills and Talents
Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, or another highly quantitative field.
Experience with large datasets (MongoDB, SQL).
Proficiency with statistical programming languages (Python, R).
Prior experience working in a data driven, academic research environment.
Ideal candidates have an uncommon drive to learn and improve, an entrepreneurial spirit, a creative approach to quantitative analysis, and an ability to communicate complex ideas clearly.
Previous financial experience is not required, although the motivation to learn rapidly is a prerequisite for working here.
